MEET THE FOUNDER
Los Angeles-based pianist Isamu McGregor's versatility has helped him to become an extremely in-demand session musician, musical director, arranger and orchestrator around the globe. Described as a "pianist for the new generation", he has had the good fortune to perform over the years with a "dizzying variety of collaborators" across a multitude of genres, including Richard Bona, Colbie Caillat, Natalia Lafourcade, Tortured Soul, GZA, Ben Platt, Bennie Maupin, Sadao Watanabe, Wayne Krantz, Virgil Donati and many more. He has toured extensively since 2014, having performed in over 30 countries.
In addition to releasing two albums of his original modern jazz music, Isamu has maintained a busy career as an arranger and orchestrator, along with many services under the general heading of "music preparation". Over the years he has steadily been incorporating additional freelancers to help with the workload, and in 2023 he took the next step and created Hapa House Music. His hope is for HHM to be a centralized music services house that can help established and independent artists achieve professional results, via a personal touch.
